During his life, Padre Pio was the Spiritual Director of many devotees who wished to remain under his special guidance and protection. He called them his “Spiritual Children” and always warned them to behave worthily so that they would “not cause him shame before God.”
Since Padre Pio’s death in 1968, the Santa Maria delle Grazie Convent in San Giovanni Rotondo has extended this privilege to all those who seek to live a life of grace and continually grow in faith through his inspiration.
You too can become a Spiritual Child of Padre Pio.

- Prove your faith through words and actions, leading a truly Christian life.
- Desire to remain under the protection of Padre Pio and share in the fruits of his prayers and sufferings.
- Imitate the virtues of Padre Pio, particularly his love for Jesus Crucified, for the Blessed Sacrament, for Our Lady, for the Pope, and for the entire Church.
- Have a sincere spirit of charity toward everyone.
